Closed for almost 9 years, the keen desire among the people of Neenton to see the Pheasant Inn reopen to breathe life back into the village was the catalyst for the formation of Neenton Community Society (NCS). A charitable Community Benefit Society dedicated to the regeneration of our rural area, the Society purchased the pub, then derelict, just before Christmas 2013.

Our local community has devoted an extraordinary amount of time and energy over the past few years and raised the necessary financial resources to acquire, restore and extend this beautiful pub. There’s a warm welcome awaiting you, and we really hope you love the hub we have created for our community as much as we do.

Our vision for the Pheasant is for a thriving classic country inn with a touch of style, owned by the community and run for the community, while offering the very best Shropshire food and warm hospitality for visitors from near and far. It’s our social and economic hub: a place where villagers can meet and socialise, celebrate and commiserate, and well as providing employment and training for local young people, helping them develop their life skills.

Your welcome in the Pheasant begins in the Main Bar, with sofas surrounding our of our wonderful woodburners where you can relax with a drink whenever it's chilly. If you're here for a meal, you might choose the Village Bar, with scrubbed tables, comfy bench seating and a quarry-tiled floor. Or you might fancy the Oak Room, a magnificent oak-framed, oak-floored, conservatory-style dining area which doubles as the village Community Room for meetings and gatherings.

Our management team is headed by Sarah Cowley (Manager, Front of House) and Mark Harris (Manager and Head Chef), who lead an experienced team of hospitality professionals and local young people who want you to be glad you came, sorry to leave, and eager to come back.
